Ready, Set, Read: Literacy Activities

Tonight we will have fun activities you can do with your preschooler in the South Story Room. This is a drop-in event from 7pm-8pm.  The activities are all centered around Talking, Singing, Reading, Writing and Playing., our five Ready to Read activities.

The activities are fun and your preschooler will be practicing the skills they need in order to be ready to read. In the "Old McDonald" center there are books to read, finger puppets to play with and fun songs to listen to.  You can even take home a kit to make some Farm Animal Stick Puppets.

All of the activities are available in both English and Spanish. There are two fun holiday themed activities as well and even a snack you can make yourselves. Come check out our Ready to Read Literacy Activities!
