A New Look!: Reading Rocket Link

You may have noticed that this blog is getting a little bit of a remodel.  We are moving things around just a little bit to make the blog easier to use and to help you find additional resources.  Our goal for this blog is to help parents connect with the events, programs and resources that will your child be "ready to read" when they start learning to read in school.  There are so many fun things that parents can do with their child when before they are old enough for school that sets the stage for later learning!

A new link has been created to the Reading Rocket Website on the left of the posts. Reading Rockets is an amazing website full of ideas for the very activities that help children learn language and get ready to read.  This website has so much information that it can be a little overwhelming.  In order to make it easier for you to become famliar with all this site has to offer I am going to highlight some of my favorite resources.

Today I've linked to a post called Top 10 Family Reading and Writing Ideas for the Holidays. It's actually a bunch of ideas of fun activities to do over the holidays.  Have some holiday fun and know that your child is learning at the same time!
