Storytime Programs - Fall II, 2016 - Week Four

Baby Rhyme Time (For babies 0-11 months and a caregiver)

This is slow, slow, slow (clap hands slowly)
This is yes, yes, yes (nod head "yes"))
This is no, no, no ((shake head "no")

Acting out rhymes helps your baby learn about size and shape.  You can also develop your baby's vocabulary about these concepts by comparing the sizes and shapes of objects around the house.

Sheep aren't usually green!  Find things that are green in your house or neighborhood.

Enjoy the beautiful leaves of the season when you are outside together.  Talk about the leaves on the trees and on the ground.  Find some to crunch through or jump in!

This week's action rhyme is a fun way to help your child recognize the letters in the word "PINK". Write "PINK" on a piece of paper and point to each letter as you sing the song together.  Once your child has mastered this, cut the letters apart and see if he can put them in the correct order again.
