24/7 eLibrary

Colorful improvements are underway in the Early Learning Center!  Remember, that although the room is closed till October 19, books are still available for you to check out.  Perhaps you may also want to use this time to take a look at Gail Borden Public Library’s 24/7 eLibrary, which has many educational and entertaining resources for children.

Electronic books, or e-books, which can be found on our 24/7 eLibrary page, are becoming more and more commonplace these days and have many enhanced features such as music that complements the story, playing story-related games, completing coloring pages, and more.   It’s tempting to let your device do the work - read the story, play a game and interact with your child.  But there’s no substitute for quality parent-child conversation.  Follow along with your child, talk about the story, comment on interesting words and ideas.  Most of all share your love of reading with your child!

As always, please contact us if you have any questions.
