Playful Learning Centers

We have a great opportunity for parents and children at the library.  Next week we will be hosting Ready, Set, Read!  Playful Learning Centers.  Drop in with your child to help your child get ready to read.  Together, do some simple fun activities that reinforce pre-reading skills in English or Spanish.

One of the activities will be  able to do is called Monkey Alphabet.  You and your child will be able to read a Monkey alphabet book and put together an ABC puzzle. These activities help your child get ready to write. Reading and writing go together.  Writing helps your child to learn that letter and words stand for sounds and that print has meaning.
