Early Literacy Station: Good-Night, Owl!

We all want our children to succeed in school.  You can help your child get ready for school and get ready to read.  If you are not sure what to do with your preschool age child but want to make sure they are ready to read, we have just what you need in the Early Learning Center!  The Literacy Station is set up with a fun activity for you and your child to do together.  Each activity you find at the Literacy station will help your child get ready to read!

Good-Night, Owl!  is the current activity at the literacy station. You will find a great book to read together and an activity to go along with the book.  Right now you can read a story about a little owl who is trying to sleep.  Then you can make a picture strip with owl and all of his friends.  You'll find the literacy station at table inside the Early Learning Center at Gail Borden.

Think this is all just child's play?  No way! Reading together is the single most effective way to help children become proficient readers.
