- The Craft - this week's craft is a frog and involves coloring, cutting and folding. These are all skills that will help in the development of your child's fine motor skills.
- The Dramatic Play Area - Gail's Barn is a popular area with the little ones. Talk with your child about the animals - what can your child tell you about them? Use the flannel animals on the board to sing some verses of Old MacDonald Had A Farm together.
- The Block Table - playing in this area requires taking turns and sharing the pieces with other children, pretend play, and fine motor skills.
- The Ready...Set...Read Literacy Activity changes every two weeks. The current activity is a fun animal and peg game to play with your preschooler after reading Down By The Barn by Hillenbrand. Ask for the pieces at the desk. In fact, if you've never heard about our literacy activity before, stop by the Help Desk and ask for more information!
- The STEAM Activity changes on a regular basis. The current activity focuses on shapes and will help your child learn about mathematics and technology in a fun and interactive way. Ask for the pieces at the Help Desk.
