The dog says woof woof,

And the baby says I love you!
Between three and six months of age, most babies begin babbling in single syllables. Make up silly rhymes and encourage your baby to imitate the words and sounds he hears. The Dog Says Woof Woof is a great rhyme to repeat at home!

So they all rolled over and one fell out,
(Repeat until down to one)
There was one in the bed and the little one said, "Goodnight!"

Action Rhyme: Five Tall Giraffes
Five tall giraffes walk and sway,
In the jungle not far away,
The 1st one said, "Come on, let's run!"
The 2nd one said, "Oh that's no fun."
The 3rd one said, "I'll find a tree."
The 4th one said, "Some leaves for me."
The 5th one said, "We can't stay."
So all 5 giraffes ran away.
This rhyme is a fun way to introduce ordinal numbers (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) to your preschooler if you haven't done so already. Line up some cars, stuffed animals, or other objects and talk about their position. Which object is 1st, 2nd, and so on?
