Winter Boredom: Oaklee's Guide to the rescue

If your kids are getting a little bored during the second week of vacation we have a great resource available in the Early Learning Center.  We have copies of the Oaklee's Guide at the Early Learning Center Desk.  This Guide lists lots of fun things for families to do.
It  includes a montn-by-month calendar of all of the family friendly special events happening in the Chicagoland area. For example, the guide includes details on some fun family friendly ways to ring in the new year.  Check out the Dupage  Children's Museum's Bubble Bash 2012.  This event features a concert by Jeanie B. and the Jelly Beans as well as Geoff Aikins, the Bubble Wonder Man (who performed earlier this year at Gail Borden).

Here is a link to the online version of the guide: Oaklee's Family Guide! Check out there coupon section to save a little a money on your next family outing. Be sure to ask your child questions during and after your family time. Talking helps kids develop skills for re-telling a story an important way teachers know what their students understand.
