The winter holidays are coming up and preschoolers are beginning to
have a sense of anticipation. Have fun counting down the days to
Christmas with this fun little rhyme. Both rhyme and rhythm help kids
hear the sounds and syllables in words, which helps kids learn to read!
Christmas Rhyme
Light a little candle,
Christmas Day will come.
Eat a little cookie,
Yum, yum, yum.
I’m counting on my fingers,
I’m
counting on my thumbs
Just
how many days ‘til
Christmas
day will come.
